This classic home alteration produced fantastic results. As can be seen by the before shots the skillion roof attached to the existing house and sloped down almost to approx 2400mm high. This and the patio were removed and a new hip and valley roof structure was built with the walls bricked up to 3300mm high all the way around. The roof tied into the exiting house at the front creating one house rather than a front section and a rear “sleep out”. All internal walls were removed to give the space an open plan design. The house’s “Hamptons” beach-style influences can be seen in the interior photos. The renovation caters to the needs of a social family and the custom French doors with highlights give the alteration a great feel.
